18 Feb Funding Alert! Grants for First Responders Comprehensive Addiction
Department of Health and Human Services – SAMHSA Attention first responders and community officials addressing addiction and recovery in their communities! The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is accepting proposals for its First Responders Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act Grants to support first responders and members of key community sectors addressing opioid overdose with emergency reversal drugs and devices through SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). As a component of the HHS, SAMHSA leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. The overall goal of the First Responders program is to provide resources to first responders other legally recognized volunteer organizations to train, carry, and administer Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) approved drugs and devices for emergency reversal of known or suspected opioid overdose.

Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration - FY22 Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grants (CCBHC Expansion Grants) Is your agency looking to expand services to become a certified community behavioral health clinic (CCBHC)? The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has awarding $312 million in funding for nearly 156 awards in the FY2022 Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grants competition. The purpose of this program is to increase access to and improve the quality of community mental and substance use disorder treatment services through the expansion of CCBHCs. This grant has a deadline of May 17, 2022

23 Apr Funding Alert! Grants for Community Mental Health Centers
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Attention community mental health centers! Does your organization serve individuals with serious emotional disturbance (SED), serious mental illness (SMI), and/or co-occurring disorder (COD) of SMI or SED and substance use disorders? And were your clients, staff, and services impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic? SAMHSA is now accepting applications for its 2021 Community Mental Health Centers (CMHC) grant program. During the pandemic, the needs of many individuals with behavioral health conditions – including minority populations and economically disadvantaged communities – have not been effectively met. The CMHC program aims to support CMHC staff and other caregivers and to restore the delivery of clinical services impacted by the pandemic. Proposals for this program are due May 21, 2021, with an anticipated project start date of September 30, 2021.
04 Mar Funding Alert! Grants for Access to Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Does your organization provide direct services to individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD)? SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) is now accepting applications for its 2021 Medication-Assisted Treatment – Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction (MAT-PDOA) grant program. The MAT-PDOA program aims to expand and/or enhance access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services for persons with OUD. The funder is focused on two primary outcomes: 1) an increase in the number of individuals with OUD receiving MAT and 2) a decrease in illicit opioid drug use and prescription opioid misuse at six-month follow-up. Proposals for this program are due April 27, 2021.- 1
