Session 1: Understanding Your Organization
The Understanding Your Organization session focuses on organizational grant readiness. The discussion involves educating and engaging the board of directors as well as preparing program and financial staff for grant readiness. Participants will learn how to identify where their organization sits along a readiness continuum and strategies to progress along that continuum.

This six-session Capacity Building for Small Organizations course focuses on the key elements that will prepare a new or small organization for grant readiness. It is ideal for agency executive directors, board members, or program staff interested in strengthening their organization’s capacity to seek out grant funding. In the first session, participants will learn how to identify where their organization sits along a readiness continuum. From there, each 90-minute session is tailored to help participants build their knowledge and skills to create pathways for successful grant-seeking.
