Session 5: Prospect Research and Creating a Grant Calendar
The Prospect Research and Creating a Grant Calendar session will focus on how your organization can begin (or enhance) the process of learning about the funding community, researching specific grant opportunities, assessing if a funder is a fit with your organization, and finally turning all that hard work into a strategic and realistic grant calendar.

This six-session Capacity Building for Small Organizations course focuses on the key elements that will prepare a new or small organization for grant readiness. It is ideal for agency executive directors, board members, or program staff interested in strengthening their organization’s capacity to seek out grant funding. In the first session, participants will learn how to identify where their organization sits along a readiness continuum. From there, each 90-minute session is tailored to help participants build their knowledge and skills to create pathways for successful grant-seeking.
