Grants 201: Managing Grant Meetings
Session 2 of the Grants 201 Series
No one likes to sit through meetings but managing a grant meeting may be the only want to ensure that everyone on a project sees and hears the same thing before a grant is submitted. Some meetings are focused on a single project either before a grant is submitted or after a grant is awarded, while other meetings may be expected to handle both. So how can you manage these meetings so participants feel their time and contributions are needed and valued? This session will help you know how to prepare in advance for the meeting, facilitate strong personalities with busy schedules who may have titles higher than yours on the organization chart, and provide you with sample agendas and tactics to keep your meetings effective and only as long as they need to be.
What you will learn:
- How to run an effective monthly grant meeting
- How to run a series of grant project/proposal design meetings
- How to ensure all staff are prepared to manage a grant project after an award is made
The trainers for these sessions are all credentialed grant professionals (GPCs) who agree to adhere to the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) Code of Ethics and are GPA Approved Trainers. All of the trainings in this series align with the Grant Professionals Certification Institute’s competencies and skills.
