FEDERAL GRANTS SERIES BY GPCI COMPETENCY

GPCI COMPETENCIES

Competency #1: Knowledge of how to research, identify,
and match funding resources to meet specific needs

The Grant Professional Certified examination measures a candidate’s competency and skill in the grants profession. To qualify for the Grant Professionals Certified (GPC), you must pass an examination
developed through rigorous national standards for professional credentials. The exam includes two independent sections: the
Multiple Choice Exam and the Writing Exam. The content of each exam is outlined on the Competencies Tested page of the GPCI website.
Both exams must be passed to earn the GPC. While there are no competencies specific to federal grants, all competencies would apply to federal grants.
