IHE Grant Series – Aligning Grants to the Institution’s Strategic Plan
Session 4 of the IHE Starting an Office of Sponsored Research Series
When an organization sets out to develop a new strategic plan, the grant professional can often be left out of important conversations and planning sessions. In this session, participants will discuss the barriers they face to being “at the table” and brainstorm potential solutions. Participants will learn why the staff or contracted grant professional is a valuable member of the organization’s strategic planning team. Participants will also learn how a robust grant development strategy and the organization’s strategic plan go hand-in-hand to propel the organization forward.
What you will learn:
The trainers for these sessions are all credentialed grant professionals (GPCs) who agree to adhere to the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) Code of Ethics and are GPA Approved Trainers. All of the trainings in this series align with the Grant Professionals Certification Institute’s competencies and skills

This training aligns with the Grant Professional Certification Institute’s Competencies and Skills and is approved for 1.0 Continuing Education Unit (CEU). Full participation in this training is also applicable for 1.0 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
