Grant recipients have an ethical and legal responsibility to follow established guidelines and best practices when closing out awards. In the Award Closeout webinar, the presenter will highlight these responsibilities and will share action steps for meeting all federal award closeout requirements. Proactive strategies and reactive solutions aligned to the Uniform Grant Guidance (2 CFR 200) will be discussed. Although presented from the perspective of federal funding, this session is also beneficial for smaller organizations that currently receive private foundation funding as many of the same concepts are applicable to organizations of all sizes.

Learning Objectives:

1. 1. Awareness of ethical and legal responsibilities for grant award closeout activities
   2. Identification of effective strategies for determining appropriate disposition of federally funded property and the liquidation of other outstanding financial obligations
   3. Identification of action strategies for preparing and reconciling performance and financial reports to organizational records

The trainers for these sessions are all credentialed grant professionals (GPCs) who agree to adhere to the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) Code of Ethics and are GPA Approved Trainers.
