Julie has over 20 years of experience as a grant professional providing consulting and training across the grant lifecycle from research and strategy to reporting and closeout. She works with organizations both large and small writing and managing foundation; corporate; and local, state, and federal government grants. She is one of only two approved trainers through the Grants Professionals Association who is also holds the Grant Professionals Certified (GPC) credential through the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI) and the Certified Grant Management Specialist (CGMS) through the National Grants Management Association (NGMA). Her trainers are all approved for continuing education by GPCI and CFRE International. She and her team of 20 grant professionals have brought over $400 million to nonprofits, educational institutions, healthcare systems, and government agencies.

Rachel Werner, Owner, and CEO of RBW Strategy, a woman-owned grants consulting firm located in the Washington, DC, area. Rachel and her team collectively have 130 years of professional grants and fundraising experience— and combined, they raised over $240 million and managed over $2.5 billion in federal grant awards. She is also a Principal at MyFedTrainer, a nationally recognized federal grants compliance training provider. She has a Certificate in Grants Management, is a certified Project Management Professional, is a Certified Grants Professional, and Grant Professionals Association Approved Trainer.

Katy Shoemaker, GPC has been in the grants profession for over nine years. Throughout her tenure, she has worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations in the health, social services, arts and culture, poverty, higher education, and animal welfare sectors. During her career, she has managed up – providing coaching, mentoring, and expertise to internal leadership staff, Board of Directors, and alongside programmatic staff in strategic planning, grants planning and revenue forecasting, assessing programmatic sustainability (both financial and non) through the development of logic models and driver diagrams, and has presented on similar topics in the state of Utah and nationally.
