Description
Grant proposals are an important part of the quiet phase of capital campaigns, but if you aren’t experienced in writing for a capital campaign, there are a lot of questions you may want to ask an experienced grant professional:
Julie Assel, GPC, President and CEO of Assel Grant Services answers these questions and more as she takes you through the things you need to know about grants and capital campaigns. Some organizations contract their capital campaign work out, but others keep this work in-house. If your organization is contemplating a capital campaign in the next few years, or you have ever wondered if you could write the proposals for your organization, this is the session for you.

Our presenter is Julie Assel, GPC, President & CEO of Assel Grant Services, an industry-leading consulting firm based in Kansas City specializing in grant research, proposal creation and grant management for nonprofits, school districts, and institutions of higher education. Julie has a varied background in grant writing including writing for school districts of varying sizes, universities, and non-profit organizations. She has written awarded grants totaling more than $144 million since 2003.

Parking Instructions:
Nonprofit Connect is located in the KCPT building under the big red tower. Please park in one of the two lots directly north and across 31st Street from the station, leaving the main lot for KCPT staff and visitors with disabilities. Do not park in spaces marked AKC in the west side of the lot. Use caution when crossing the street.
