CMHS Receives $50,000 grant from Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund

CMHS (Comprehensive Mental Health Services) recently received a grant for $50,000 from the Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund (JCCMHF) to fund participation in the Jackson County Mental Health Court Monitoring program.

The Mental Health Courts program supports and improved the following capacities across the Jackson County mental health safety net by providing current, accurate information to MHC’s regarding defendants’ engagement in mental health services and compliance with court requirements.  It also assures that MHC clients are engaged as quickly as possible in CMHC behavioral health and other services that are responsive to their needs and court requirements.  MHC provides and utilizes defendant screening and assessment information to assist court decision-making as early and quickly as possible.  The program allows for the integration of evidence-based practices into the services provided to MHC defendants.  It provides for the submission of accurate, timely data about MHC clients for management, evaluation, and audit.
