KidsTLC Receives $75,000 Award from Sarli Family Foundation

KidsTLC was recently awarded a $75,000 grant from the Sarli Family Foundation to support general agency operating funds.

The agency is expanding its autism services program, implementing sustainability strategies to preserve our outpatient behavioral health care program, making advancements in our trauma informed care treatment philosophy, renovating one of our residential buildings, and making significant improvements in our technology/client record keeping.

KidsTLC has in depth experience helping these victims of traumatic abuse, neglect, or other types of difficult family disruption, along with low-income families, at-risk youth, foster youth, and homeless youth and families. The agency has become known over the years for its successful treatment of children who suffer from complex and traumatic backgrounds as well as those who have a history of failed placements in foster care and previous mental health care treatment. KidsTLC prides itself on providing the most innovative clinical treatment programs designed to help children suffering from trauma while maintaining a high level of family involvement.

Each year KidsTLC serves over 2,000 children ages 18 months to 18 years of all races/ethnicities.  KidsTLC serves clients from Wyandotte County, KS; Jackson County, MO and others.  Children may be struggling with mental health issues, homelessness, or autism spectrum disorders.  Children and their parents/guardians/foster parents come to KidsTLC for help through a wide network of referral partners, including mental health centers.
